The look of this coffee maker is 5 stars. -Gorgeous! I love that you can pull out the water tank, easy to handle as it has a carrying handle. The coffee tastes great; I grind my own. My choice is the Ruta Maya Organic Brand (and always use filtered water) smooth and delicious. I would only add two things to this coffee maker; an auto off function and a preset function. I also bought the matching toaster. Rating: 4 / 5
I loved the way this coffee maker fit in with my decor! My only complaint is that when you pour coffee out of the carafe, it drips back and you can’t avoid coffee on your counter. Very annoying. If this annoys you, don’t buy this coffee maker. I overlook low tech for decor. Rating: 5 / 5
The carafe is flimsy. Imagine a beaker from high school science class and attach a metal “flap” to the top with a thumb lever to move it up and down – that’s the carafe. Coffee would spill all over the counter every morning. It didn’t matter if you poured slowly and deliberately either. No matter the speed at which you poured or the attention you paid to how the carafe was handled, coffee went everywhere. For a unit crafted with design in mind, why are there still design flaws? I returned this coffee maker and have moved on. Rating: 3 / 5
I like the look of this coffee maker- and the removeable water tank (no water to spill while filling). It brews relatively fast, coffee tastes good, but no automatic shutoff!! The on/off switch feels flimsy and the entire base the pot sits on gets VERY HOT- (not just the warming plate, but the whole bottom, too). I’ll be returning and keep looking. . . . Rating: 3 / 5
