When you would buy a new coffee maker?

I was wondering when would you buy a new coffee maker. I am thinking about to buy a new one. I got this coffee I have now sometime last year. I was thinking about buying a new one. The only reason would be it would be a timer. I have to get up early to get kids ready for school. I was goin to leave the water and the coffee grounds in the coffee maker and just turn it on. I wouldn’t know if I would forget to turn the coffee maker on or I get tired of doing it on my own since it doesn’t have a timer on it. want do you think.

It depends on the brand. (Look at the instruction booklet when you buy a new coffee maker)

I got a coffee maker with a timer and a grinder, but I never use those features. I would always forget to set up the coffee the night before. The grinder made the coffee too weak. I like simple appliances that just do the one job they are meant to do, do it well and last a long time before they wear out.

a timer is a good reason. I think they should all come with auto shutoffs too.

You’ve two choices, really – you can actually buy a small timer from your local hardware store that would turn your pot on for you or you could buy a new pot with a timer. Mine is an 8-cup Sunbeam w/timer and I love it. It wasn’t really that expensive, either, about $50, and you can even get cheaper ones than that.

I have one with a timer and an auto-shut off. Both come in handy for when I set up the coffeemaker the night before to brew when I wake up the next morning. The auto shut-off is handy because sometimes my husband forgets to turn the coffeemaker off. It keeps the coffee warm for 2 hours, after that it automatically turns the warmer off. I don’t think the auto grind would be a must have feature, but I definitely recommend the brewer with a timer and auto-shut off.
