This is my description how to froth milk for your Caffe Latte. 1. Place your pitcher with milk in the freezer for a minute or two so it´s really cold. 2. Purge your steamwand to let any water out. Don´t want that water to end up in your froth now do you?
3. Put the pitcher under the wand so the tip of the steamwand is positioned right below the surface of the milk. I put the wand a 8 o clock on the pitcher and tilt the pitcher towards me. 4. Turn on the steam and listen for the sound that sounds like “ripping paper”. If the sound is to loud and you get tons of bubbles: rise the pitcher slightly. If you aren´t hearing anything, carefully lower the pitcher until you hear the sound. Always tilt the pitcher so you get a whirlpool effect, incorporating the air into the milk for that silk smooth froth! 5. When the side of the pitcher is slightly warm, bring the pitcher up a bit further. 6. Watch the whirlpool! 7. When the bottom of the pitcher is to hot to touch comfortably turn of the steam and remove the pitcher. 8. Wipe of the steamwand with a cloth and purge the steamwand to let any old milk out to prevent damage to your machine. 9. (not included in this video) Tap the pitcher on a table to get rid of any bubbles and swirl around the pitcher so blend the froth with the milk for that silky smooth texture! 10. Pour the perfect rosetta ![]()

You want to achieve silky smooth, creamy milk. You achieve this by A. stretching, B. creating a whirlpool like motion and C. heating the milk to no hotter than 65 degrees. Stretching the milk is the noise you here at the beginning of the vid and is caused by the steam tip (end of the steam arm/steam wand) sitting just below the surface of the milk and thus breaks the surface of the milk when you turn the steam wand on introducing air/steam into the milk. Allow this to happen for 1 – 10 seconds at the very beginning of the heating process, the exact amount of seconds you stretch for will depend on the pressure of your machine and the size of your jugs (milk jugs that is). (how long you stretch for will determine how thick the milk ends up, or in laymen’s terms how much froth you create. Once you have stretched your desired amount then ‘lift the jug’ immersing the tip further beneath the surface, far enough so that you will not break the surface again. (do not break the surface of the milk (stretching) after it is warm, this will cause big bubbles that you can’t get rid of) During the whole process hold the steam wand at an angle that causes the milk to spin in a whirlpool/vortex. Finally bring the milk to 65 degrees. And remember to purge the steam wand of excess water before heating your milk and then purge the steam wand of excess milk after you have heated your milk.

This is the longest lego movie I have ever made, and I think it’s my best one too. I used Todd Rundgren’s song “Espresso (All Jacked Up)” And put the music video to it. It took about two weeks, longer than my White and nerdy video, for all of you who are curious about that
. I forgot to put in the credits that all the special effects were done with the program Adobe After Effects. And all the props in the video were from my mom. Enjoy, and please rate and comment!!!
